lame

Gypsy has been lame. She's been lame for a while now. She's not out and out lame, but I can tell she is sore and something is bothering her. I've been wondering if it's the heat. Her feet seem fine. I gave her a little bute tonight to see what that does for her. If she is not better in a day or two I will be calling the vet out. They had thier feet done on friday and looking back at this blog I see that she was lame and sore after her trim last time too. I'm hopeing that's all it is, but I think it's something else since I did kinda notice it before the trim. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will come out of it soon. I need to have the vet out soon for other things anyways but I wasn't planning on a problem reason to have her out. Sigh, horses....

picture of the day

I was cleaning the paddock and I looked up and saw this. A double rainbow!

I got word there were 50ish bales of hay in a field for $3.00 a piece so I went and got them. The first load I had help loading them onto the truck. After that, I was on my own. I unloaded the first load ok and went back for the last load. I stacked the truck all by myself. I did a good job! I didn't lose a single bale! It must have been a funny sight though. Me out in a hay field, stacking hay on my big truck all alone and listening to Stromkern. I got some funny looks. Tomorrow I need to to stack the bales in my loft. I will have help for that! That's why I'm waiting for tomorrow!
